This is a very simple bread. It doesn't take long and it tastes so good!

Ingredients

4 cups of Strong White Flour

2 tsp of Instant Yeast

¾ tsp of Salt

1 tbsp Olive Oil + 1 tsp for rising

1 ¼ cups of Warm Water

Method

* Preheat the oven to 200C

* Mix the yeast with warm water to help activate it.

* Sift the flour into a large mixing bowl and add the yeast, salt and olive oil, mix to form a dough.

* Put the dough into a bowl and cover to prove for 1-2 hours or until doubled. Use a clean tea towel to cover the bowl. You can prove the dough at room temperature but it will prove quicker if you put it in a warm place, for example, by a heater.

* Once the dough has risen, knead it for 8-10 minutes on a lightly floured surface.

* Shape the dough and place on a baking sheet in the oven for 25 minutes. The dough is quite a tough one so it shouldn't be a problem keeping it's shape in the oven.

Serve

Enjoy!
