Vegan Almond & Berry Smoothie

As I'm sure you have seen, we have been working on making some delicious and healthy smoothies. These are perfect for a breakfast on the go, an after workout snack/drink or a healthy drink to enjoy any time of day. This vegan almond & berry smoothie is the perfect example of this!

This is one of our favourites that we've made so far. It's the perfect combination of all the berries and the almonds!

After you've soaked the nuts overnight, the rest of the recipe only takes a few minutes.

It's the perfect breakfast drink!

You will need a muzzie or cheesecloth for this.

The recipe is super easy;

Place the almonds in the water overnight.

In the morning, drain the almonds, saving the liquid as you will need it again.

Give the almonds a rinse and place them in a blender.

Add the water that you soaked the almonds in, to the blender, and add the vanilla essence as well.

Blend the mix until it's completely smooth.

Pour this mix into your muzzie, over a bowl, and strain the mix. Twist the mix to strain as much as you can out.

Place what is in the bowl back into the blender.

Add the berries and agave nectar to this and blend until completely smooth.

Serve and enjoy!
