Once you have cut up the apples, this recipe only takes a few minutes to make before it goes in the oven.

We're sorry that we haven't been posting the last few weeks. We have had a lot going on and unfortunatley that stopped us from being able to get our baking done.

I used a large loaf tin and filled it right to the top.
Make sure you test with a toothpick if your loaf is cooked, it's so easy for this loaf to not cook properly and end up stodgy.

Apple Pie Loaf
Ingredients
½ Cup Butter I used Flora but remember Flora Butterly is no longer vegan so be careful to only buy the original.
½ Cup Golden Syrup You can also use maple syrup
½ Cup Apple Sauce
2 Cups Plain Flour
2 tsp Vanilla Essence
2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
2 tsp Cinnamon
¼ Cup Milk I use oat milk but any plant based milk will work.
2 Large Apples - Peeled, Cored & Diced
Method
Preheat the oven 180C and prepare your loaf tin.
In a large bowl, mix the butter and syrup together.
Add the apple sauce and vanilla essence.
Sift in the flour, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda.
Stir together till everything is combined.
Pour the milk, a little at a time, and mix in.
Fold in the apples
Pour your mix into your prepared loaf tin
Bake for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
Let cool before slicing
Serve
