Vegan Blackberry Sorbet

This vegan blackberry sorbet is the perfect summer treat to cool you down on a hot day!


This recipe is super easy to make, with only 3 ingredients, your children will love to help you make this.


This recipe makes enough to serve 2, you can easily double the ingredients to make 4.


With it being blackberry picking season, it's time to get the blackberry recipes ready. We have some great blackberry recipes; check out our blackberry pie recipe and our blackberry jam recipe. We also have a summer fruits crumble, which of course would include blackberries.


Once you have picked your blackberries, you then need to clean them. Then place the amount you require for this recipe in the freezer until they are frozen. This should only take a few hours, before they are ready to use.


Blackberries;

Blackberries are packed vitamins, minerals and fiber.

They can help boost brain power.

Blackberries may help protect against heart disease and help prevent some cancers.

To make this super easy vegan blackberry sorbet;


Place all the ingredients in a blender.


Blend until completely smooth, you will be left with a slushie sort of mix.


Taste the mix to check you don't want more vanilla or syrup.

Once you are happy with your mix, place it in a tub with a lid. If you don't have a lid cover the tub with cling film.


Place the tub in the freezer for a few hours, until the mix is frozen.


You can decide what level of frozen you want your sorbet before you take it out the freezer.


If you leave it in the freezer overnight you may need to let it defrost a little to serve it.

Blackberry Sorbet - Serves 2


Ingredients

2 Cups Frozen Blackberries

1 tsp Vanilla Essence

1 tbsp Golden Syrup - You can use maple syrup instead.


Method


Place all of the ingredients in a blender.


Blend until completely smooth, this will leave you with a slushie sort of mix. Taste the mix to make sure there is enough vanilla and syrup for you.


Transfer the mix into a tub with a lid, or cover it with cling film.


Freezer for 1-2 hours. You can decide what level of frozen you would like your sorbet to have.


Serve
