Vegan Bloody Cupcakes

These Vegan Bloody Cupcakes are a great spooky treat for Halloween.

They are so easy and simple to make, which makes them the perfect, fun, baking activity for you and your kids.

The red sugar glass stands out perfectly from the white icing and shows off the dripping blood.

This recipe makes 12 bloody cupcakes.

This recipe starts with a basic cupcake recipe, if you would like to flavour your cupcakes you absolutely can! Just add the flavouring to your cupcake mix before pouring it into the cases to be baked.

When the cupcakes are baked and cooled you'll then need the delicious butter icing. Butter icing is my favourite kind of icing! You can pile the icing for a cleaner and neater effect. I used a spoon to put the icing on top of the cupcakes for a bit of a messier look.

Make the glass out of melted sugar and red food colouring. Snap it into small pieces and push those into the icing to get them to stand up on top of the cupcake.

Lastly, use red food colouring to make the blood pouring from the icing.

These cupcakes are fun to make and are great for a party or family gathering.
