Vegan Nutella Tart

Some of you may have seen that I made a vegan nutella recently. What's better to use a nutella for than to make this ridiculously tasty vegan nutella tart! You wont be able to get enough!

This tart is super easy to make and tastes amazing!

You can serve 8 people with this tart, but you will definitely want more, so no one will blame you if you make bigger portion sizes!

I pastry is sweet and almost melt in your mouth, added with the hazelnut chocolatey taste you get from the nutella makes this the perfect dessert!

I took some of this tart on a picnic, I placed it in a cooler bag and it held it's shape all day and didn't melt.

I explained on the vegan nutella recipe how to make just a plain chocolate spread, so if you don't like hazelnuts you can still make this tart. I would love to try this with a white chocolate spread, I think that would be amazing!

To make this vegan nutella tart;

In a large bowl sift the flour and icing sugar. You can add 1 tbsp of cocoa powder if you would like a chocolate tart base to make this tart double chocolatey.

Add the oil and mix to combine.

Add a little water at a time while kneading the mix until you've created a dough.

If they dough feels too soft you can place it in the fridge for 30 minutes to help.

Roll the pastry to fill your tin.

Prick the base multiple times to cover most of the pastry.

Blind bake for 7 minutes, remove the beans and bake for another 6 minutes or until the pastry has browned and is crispy.

Let cool completely.

Blind bake;

Blind baking is the process of baking pastry. This is often used when you wont be baking the filling of a pie, like in this recipe.

You fill the pastry with baking beans, rice or like I used this time lentils. Cover them in cling film so it's not touching the pastry.

You do this so the pastry will hold it's shape while baking.

Once the pastry has completly cooled you can add the nutella.

If you have just made the nutella, you don't have to wait for it to set in a jar before you add it to the tart.

Once you have melted the ingredients in the saucepan, let it cool and then pour it into the pastry base.

The nutella will then set in the case.

It should only take a couple of hours for the nutella to completely set in the fridge.

Serve and Enjoy!

I hope you love this as much as I do!
