
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day but who has the time to make something healthy and tasty first thing in the morning, I certainly can't wake myself up enough in the morning to make something. This vegan spiced orange overnight oats is the perfect breakfast for those like me.
This dish is made the night before, placed in the fridge overnight and in the morning you just need to sprinkle some chopped nuts over the top and enjoy!
This is perfect for anyone on the go!
This recipes serves one. You can easily adjust this recipe to make more portions so the whole family can enjoy this for breakfast!
It's super easy to make and so tasty!

You can use granola instead of oats when you make this, however, unlike the oats, the granola wont soak up the milk. It still tastes great but more liquid.
To make these overnight oats;
Place the oats, cinnamon, cardamon, lemon zest and orange zest in a small bowl.
Mix to combine everything and transfer this to your chosen dish or cup.
Add the almond butter, vanilla and golden syrup to the top of your dry ingredients.
Pour the milk until it reaches the top of the oats.
Place in the fridge overnight. I placed a lid on mine as well.
In the morning sprinkle the top with your chosen chopped nuts, I chose walnuts.
Serve and Enjoy!

Spiced Orange Overnight Oats - Serves 1
Ingredients
⅔ Cups Oats
1 tsp Cinnamon
½ tsp Ground Cardamom
1 Small Lemon Zest
1 Small Orange Zest
½ tsp Vanilla - You can use vanilla essence or extract.
1 Cup Milk - I used oat milk but any plant based milk will work.
2 heaped tsp Almond Butter - See our recipe here.
2 tsp Golden Syrup - You can also use maple syrup or agave nectar.
1 tbsp Chopped Nuts - I used Walnuts.
Method
Place the oats, cinnamon, cardamom, lemon zest and orange zest in a small bowl.
Mix to combine everything.
Pour the mix into your chosen cup or bowl.
Add the almond butter, vanilla and golden syrup to the top of your dry ingredients.
Pour the milk till it reaches just above the oats.
Place in the fridge overnight
Sprinkle your chopped nuts on the top
Serve
