These Veggie Manchurian Balls and Gravy are so delicious and full of flavour. They are based on a Chinese dish and goes perfectly with boiled or fried rice.
This recipe makes enough for 10 veggie balls which is great for two people.
You can choose not to cook the veggie balls in gravy and just fry them, they are great for a snack or with a dipping sauce.
The vegetables you use are completely up to you. It’s really about your personal tastes and what you will enjoy. Make sure whatever veggies you use are able to be cut really small as you will need small pieces to keep the balls together. You can also put your veggies in a food processor and pulse a few times.

The gravy has a delicious sweet and sour taste with a kick of spice. The amount of chilli I used was just bordering on too much for me, so if you are not a lover of spice use half that amount, or even leave it out. If you love a lot of spice you can always taste as you go and add extra if you prefer.
We have a great recipe for soy free soy sauce for anyone who cannot eat soy.
I hope you love this as much as we do!
